The work

From a worn floor to a new court

Starting point. The court came with its original blue surface worn out: a matte finish, wear marks and faded game lines. A wooden floor still in use, in a hall with stands and regular competition.

The intervention. The perimeter band was sanded back to bare wood and the playing surface was prepared for the new coating. The blue court finish was then applied, followed by the black perimeter band and the full handball line marking.

The result. A uniform court, with continuous blue from line to line, a crisp black border and the wooden boards of the side areas on show. Ready for Club Balonmano Cangas to play at home again.
